Kenyan coffee has long been celebrated for its bright, wine-like acidity and complex berry-citrus profile. But behind every great cup is a smallholder farmer waking before dawn to selectively pick ripe cherries by hand - a labour-intensive ritual that involves entire families.

Upendo was founded to shorten the distance between those farmers and the global market. By working directly with cooperatives across Central, Eastern, Coast, Western, and Nyanza regions, we eliminate unnecessary middlemen, share market intelligence transparently, and pay above-market premiums for AA-grade lots.

Every container we ship from Mombasa carries phytosanitary certification, full traceability to the cooperative of origin, and the same care we'd want for coffee served in our own home.
